Kansas Strengthening Families Protective Factors Survey Database

Welcome to the Protective Factors Survey (PFS) database for Kansas early childhood and child abuse and neglect prevention partners.

The PFS online database for Kansas partners allows you to enter survey data and view reports (including demographics, pre-test results, and pre-post test results).

The PFS was developed by the FRIENDS National Resource Center for Community-Based Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention (CBCAP) in partnership with the Institute for Educational Research and Public Service at the University of Kansas. The PFS is an evidence-based tool that has undergone four national field tests for establishing reliability and validity.

In Kansas, the PFS is being used by a variety of partners in early care and education, parent education and family support, home visiting, and mental health consultation. CBCAP grantees and partners on the Kansas Project LAUNCH initiative use the PFS with all participants.
